What's the best turbo to use for the LE5?

My fianc'ee and I want to throw together a turbo kit for her 06 G6 2.4, and we were curious as to what turbo would be best for 5-14psi. Thanks

5-14 psi at what volume of air?

5-14 PSI on an LNF turbo is not the same as 5-14 PSI on a GT42r.

More information is needed.

Dyno sheet is in my sig under the 'F/S.'

He's asking us for that "more information."

The LNF turbo is too small for a 2.4.

In our experience, the 2.4 will spool a decent sized turbo without any noticeable lag when compared to a 2.0 with lower compression. Our 56mm Borg Warner does the job very well in that range. I would look for something between 54mm and 58mm. The exhaust housing we run has a .55AR, but the wheel is fairly large, similarly sized to a P trim wheel.

Is her G6 an auto? Variable cam timing?

I never said to use the LNF turbo on a 2.4 I'm strictly saying that turbo size has a huge play in what you want, not PSI.

Yes it's mated to the 4t45e, and yes also VVT.

I suggest the GT2860RS turbo. I have it running 8-10 psi. Dyno numbers in sig by the way. Its a great turbo. Oil/water cooled. Low spool and its great for power.

No problem. If I can make it to the dyno for some new numbers after the tune (before I sell the car *crosses fingers*), I'll get them to you.

When tuned correctly the Garrett is extremely responsive, low spool (2.5k) and provides good power all the way up.

What a/r is the exhaust side? Is it .64? And what is the a/r on the comp side?

No one said you did. The OP asked- "What results have people seen with what turbo on the LE5?" I answered him.

What about an 04 STi turbo? I have a buddy who's about to upgrade, how would his turbo do on my LE5?

STi turbo's arnt the greatest. As they are quite laggy.

Id stick to the GT28RS or 1-2 sizes up.
