well not really you wouldnt im running the same thing. then had a tune cuz i got bigger injectors. if you do get a tune for those then it would be because the 02s or reading more airflow in the exhaust and there trippin the cel or code or whatever it is. then yes go for it. but dont spend 400$ on a tune for just those. get injectors to then. the stock 34# from the 2.0 and the harness from a 2004 cavilear from gmpartsdirect.com well thats all i think.

ryan.

yes you should always tune your car after getting it modded to ensure the best performance out of the mods... and if you can find someone with HP you can get your car tuned for about 150$ or so. the car runs really rich stock so modding it just throws the AFR even more outta wack. and stock the injector duty cycles run at about 99% and a 10.9 AFR stock... after a tune the IDC dropped to 79% and a 12.9 AFR at redline...

there was also a full bolt on 2.4 and his IDC's were 81% at the top of third gear with this setup. after tune... and those aren't even aggressive tunes they were just tunning for IDC and AFR basically

just get it tuned you'll see better power and better MPG more than likely, yes it's better to get the larger injectors but it's not necessary.

Yeap after adjusting my commaned AFR to a 12.9 my IDC's dropped 20% at the top of third gear.

afr is air fuel ratio, IDC is injector duty cycle and it's % that the injector is open and giving fuel... at about 100% they can seize and then they stay constantly open and then... BOOMMMMM sorry for not clarifying as much as I thought I did...

regardless you sould always tune whenever you put a mod on your car to get the full gains out of the mod.. you ever wonder why compainies say you'll get X HP from their mod and you only get like 3/4 of that? more than likely they've tuned for it to make it run better.. why do you think a full bolt on 2.4 gain so much from a tune? you're optimizing your cars computer.. and thats always a good thing

on a side note... WOOOOT 300 posts

damn you redfocz haha you made me waste my 300th post on something you already typed haha

I have full bolt-ons, including a cat-less downpipe, which threw my CEL.........and kept it on for good until I get tuning. To be honest, the car kinda runs like crap w/ my setup. Idle's a tad rough, hesitates some under WOT.........really needs tuning badly. But I have a bit more aggressive setup than the GMPP setup, so you might be alright. But finding tuning for the '07 LE5's is proving to be a b***h for me........so good luck. Im on constant "hold" essential from the only HP Tuner's dealer/tuner around me (Pro Motion Tuning), and several members on the forum have offered help but never respond in time to make anything happen. I'll get tuning eventually........

no. if you can get some stock ss s/c injectors, your car would benefit from a tune, but not yet

injectors would be a good idea. i hear from jackalope, that the 2.4 injectors go static once you do minor mods.

I'm looking right at what you need

You do not NEED a tune.

You could however get a retune for the sake of your Automatic and turn that thing into a gear shifting machine.
