ZZ Performance Header/Downpipe Group Buy

I just wanted to let everyone know that the GB has started for the ZZP Header/DP combo.
The deposit can is only $25, which is later used towards your purchase. The discount can be sent via Paypal to Zooomer@aol.com , Make sure that you include the 3 "o"s that are in that E-Mail address. Also, the last day to be included in the GB is May 30th.

The GB is set up using a percentage based system, ie, the more people that sign up, the bigger the discount. Right now the system is...
Up to 10 zero% off
10-20 10% off
20-30 18% off
31-39 24% off
40+ More Discount

Also, you are able to actually choose what options you want (hence the percantage discount). This allows you to customize your exhaust system to your liking. Just put the options you want in the "Notes" section of your Paypal money transfer. The options are as follows...

Header option
1.5 inch high temp paint
1 3/4 inch high temp paint (+ $20.00)
1.5 inch Ceramic coating (+ $100.00)
1 3/4 inch Ceramic coated (+ $120.00)
1.75 inch 304 stainless preorder (+ $130.00)
Cat option
w/o cat
Magnaflow cat (+ $50.00)
Downpipe option
Mild steel downpipe
304 stainless downpipe (+ $70.00)
Downpipe size Option
2.5 inch downpipe, bolt in
2.5 inch downpipe, weld in
3" downpipe, 2.5" exit, bolt in
3" downpipe weld in
3" downpipe, 3" bolt in exit
Extras
Add extra O2 bung for wideband (+ $15.00)
Add extra O2 bung & plug (+ $20.00)

Additionally, a 25% discount is offered if you choose to get the 3" cat-back system that ZZP offers.

Thanks, and please post when you have made your deposit on the thread.

I'm new to working on cars so I would like to ask for a recommendation from you guys. I have an '07 Cobalt SS 2.4L and the next thing I want on it is the exhaust. I live in New York of course so there is a lot of salt in the winter, hence the need for a stainless steel exhaust. I want to do the whole exhaust and I would like it to sound good of course. So what should I look at purchasing and about how much would it cost me? I do have plans on turbo charging my car in the next year or 2. And I'll be sticking around here since you guys have been so helpful and nice about it all already. Any help or recomendations is appreciated.

if you intend on going turbo as you said then go with 1.75 primaries on your header and a full 3 inch exhaust header back..tho if you are gunna run a smaller turbo then you can just do a 3" header/downpipe to a 2.5 bolt in catback and be fine....an if you wanna make it all stainless steall from header and downpipe to exhaust...this is time to buy....zzp won't be doing alot of group buys...an right now we will prolly be getting a minimum of 18% off

Ok, cause right now I want the exhaust but its like $1000 thru chevy to have them install and warranty it. So I am trying to save myself some monies here. I do NEED stainless and I would be going with the Hahn Turbo kit for this car, that looked like a smaller turbo so I guess the 3" header should be adequate enough. Can you give me an estimated price before the rebate. I am not exactly sure what to look for in the list above.

sure...thing..for a 3" downpipe/header combo in stainless steel its 620$...if you get in the group buy you get the 3" stainless steel catback at 25% off automatically...that makes the catback a buy at 435 which is down from 580$...then if you take off the 18% group buy discount which is wat we wil prolly be at from the header/dp combo it puts that at 509$...for a full header back exhaust in stainless steel and 3" grand total of 944$

Chevy doesn't offer a full header back exhaust as far as I know. Just their manifold and cat-back, unless that is the same thing. If I put the $25 down now to get my exhaust ordered when would I need the rest of the money? Sorry if I'm asking to many questions, I just want to make sure I got everything down, and make sure I'll have the money for it. I will end up just getting the header/dp and cat-back combo - all stainless.

no its ok..there is another zzp group buy link in the 2.0 section...i'll bump it back to the top....i met "sure thing"...i am at work got mixed up and put sure....thing... by accident...but its 25$ deposit by the 30th of this month and when you order you specify what you want and then post both the order and the confirmation that you deposited in the other thread...we assume the rest of the money will be due shortly after of course there should be a reasonable grace period to finish payment on your exhaust

if you're planning on turbocharging your car you should't buy this at all as it will need to be removed when its time for your turbo install. you will just be wasting money...

if you're serious about turboing your car then you shouldn't buy anything unless its turbo related.

shows how being at work affects your brain...yea actually that may be a point....i'm not sure the difference in the two because they also offer a turbo header but i'm not sure how bigg of a difference you would expect from a turbo exhaust

contact zoomer the zzp rep and he can assist you

Good point!!. See, I just graduated from college last year and bought my cobalt in October. I have bought a lot of thigns that I am paying off right now and it will be next year before I start actually sinking more money into my car, ie: turbo charging it. Right now I wanted to just get a decent exhaust on that would help my performance and gas mileage. That was why I was just gonna go with the 3" stainless that I mentioned above, and I figured I would just replace and sell next year upon purchasing the hahn turbo kit. I don't really have more then a $1000 to spend on an exhaust right now but I want a cat-back now. You see where I'm coming from though? So I wanted to get in on this deal while its here, even if its only a $500 set-up. I might even turbo charge it in 2 years instead of next year, depending on the mileage on my car and funding.

I can contact him, I too am at work right now lol. I work for an engineering company, so learning how machines and stuff like that works is my job. I had little experience before my car, so now I'm trying to learn even while at work. Thank you for being patient and helping me.

I have the zzp header/dp combo on my car, and I can assure you, you will not bolt a turbo to it

You do have a point. If you intend to slap on a turbo NOW then no I wouldn't buy this set up. But see...I believe he and I are in the same boat. I plan on buying the zzp twin charged set up...eventually. But until then, I'm gonna get this exhaust, stage 2 the car, and build up anything that may need to be built up (clutch, internals, etc) to prepare for the kit in the mean time. This is definitely a deal not to miss out on. If you have any more questions though, feel free to pm me or click the link in my signature and anyone there will be willing to help you out bro. Thanks for your interest..

I spoke to zooomer and he said the catback exhaust would be fine and of course we kinda knew that already. The header/DP would have to be up-graded upon Turbo-charging the vehicle, which I don't plan on doing until a year or two from now.

So the 3" Stainless steel combo is gonna run about $510? And would that include being shipped as well?

refer to this post for pricing...they were priced out on stainless steel...944 was everything stainless steel from header an downpipe and including the catback after the discounts....assuming we end with the 18% discount....if we get to the 24% discount it will be even less
