ZZP s/c or t/c kit..??
Hey guys,
So, upon checking out the ZZP site today, I noticed that they now sell a turbo kit, as obbosed to only the s/c kit. And the turbo kit is actually cheaper. Has anyone used said turbo kit? I'd possibly be interested if I just kept this car after next summer.. Anyone? Feedback?
Thanks!

^^^ like he said, i was going to go sc but ended up tc, due to prices, parts (pulleys are only by then), HP goals, also by that time sc was out of stock for a while and i wasn't going to use my car for 3 weeks so i needed it, how to install it. (even though i didn't install it
)
ZZP stage 2 kit with catless dp, 234hp 222tq at 7psi, still more tune needed (non aggressive tune/ dd)... and more psi coming....
manual, everything else stock, stock exhaust, stock clutch....

I've got the Stage 1 SC on order, not looking to boost to the moon so the lack of expandability wasn't a concern. Just got tired of no power down low, which the SC will take care of rather nicely. I also liked the fact that all the parts are basically GM original, having been factory mounted on the LSJ. Stage 2 SC with exhaust is 250WHP...fawk...thats good enough for me. And if I decide to go full retard nitrous and meth are perfectly good options.
I installed it in my driveway. Pretty simple with
some basic mechanical and problem solving skills.
Not sure if I can do this, but this thread is my experience
installing the turbo kit, the thread is not 100% done yet.

Yes I suggest turbo. I have 4T45E automatic.

Need to check out the pics from the link, but thanks! If you have ZZP install it, is it "guaranteed to work"? IE, if something goes wrong during install (say, the ECU fails) that they replace it? When I tried to get HPT done to my car, the ECU randomly failed and I had to buy a new one for 600 bucks. lol

but with a retune the turbo will spool at low rpm and gave me the acceleration that i was looking for. and still get 21-22mpg city

so they emailed a new tune, everything worked and cel went away, returned their ecu and kept mine with the tune, and got my core refund.
Never driven a Saab, so IDK, but auto on boost, it always there.

i actually just went with the stage 2 s/c kit myself...it took them almost 2 weeks to ship it...said they were having problems with the belt system...belt was slipping on the supercharger pully...my kit is they first they have shipped out with the new belt i believe so we will see how it work...hoping to get good results with it
MMCGEE123-i didnt waste the money to get the head ported lol...it came like that so im not complaining...and it was the only thing done to the car! i was like wtf dude lol...
OTTAWAMARK-i had the same problem with steve! i finally left them a voicemail saying if my kit didnt ship by yesterday i was calling the bank and turning it in as fraud...it shipped yesterday lol

I ran it when I lived in az on shitty tune and 91 octane on 8 psi did 13.52 @ like 108 I think idk I don't like to count it cus it was terrible the car is plenty more capable I'm a manual also now it has a better tune daily drive it with 12psi then when we go to meets n stuff I run 14 on my race gas tune with 19* of timing no cam phasing touched at all I'm prolly building it this winter run about 18-20psi next spring with a diffrent fuel set up for e85 hopefully with a built trans also
Im personally going to go with the stage 1 tc kit with 60lb injector and a front mount setup.
Only because my plans are for more hp than the sc kit. But got to love that sc sound!
