Not happening. And no that would not be a high volume car which is what GM needs the Cruze to be.

 

what they need is keep the SS, 6 cyl maybe??? and just keep the TC and work on some of the parts that have some defects.

 

A 6 cyl is not going in a GM compact. Why not? Because their best 6 cyl is the DI 3.6 making 300 hp in the Camaro/CTS... but the LNF tuned will get better mileage, make 300 hp, be lighter, have lower insurance, etc... so why consider a 6 cyl.

Biggest complaints about the Cobalt are the styling and build quality. You'll probably never hear someone with half a brain say "I won't buy a Cobalt cause that 2.0T sucks", rather it's always "Cobalts look like **** and are built like ****."

 

I love the body though, put a drop on it and shamwow you have a nice looking car....but then again they might have something way better up there sleeve.

So why not buy a real car like the STI? Every AWD fan knows the EVO is the STI\s little bitch and always will be. Plus it's half Dodge. Or buy an Audi TT and than you have an even better car. Or a Z. All better and not much more expensive. By the way, good job on serving your Country but try to be less of a dick about it. You have every right to be proud but just because all the other members on heres tax dollars are contributing to your fun on four wheels fund doesn't mean you have to rub it in like that.

 

STI?? LOL funny seeing how the 09 SS/TC even beat the new STI=fail. About the money haha just stating that I could do it. Topics about the cruze which pisses me and every other Cobalt SS owner out there seeing how the SS is a great car and no reason to end it now with some pos 4dr that doesnt even have a performance package because GM is in a world of hurt financially.

 

That "pos" is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than any Cobalt save for the SS, but the SS is only better in terms of handling/power.

This is built with much higher quality and attention to detail. THIS is what GM needs.

 

Hopefully it is... If it sells well and GM pulls through okay, perhaps an SS model will be made down the road... The GM Performance Division is still dissolved as of now

Who knows what gm will do with the cruze over time maybe they will be cool.


O and by the way, The evo is not the STI's bitch, its quite the other way around, after i purchase A house evo or S4/5 Is next new car.
