ws, there are a couple tricks inside the map itself to squeak some more out
Now he gets to figure out dino fuel tuning on the BRFS for some real track time on Sunday. As long as nothing else breaks or goes wrong before then. Will be the first one-wheel adventure on the TVS.

I did give him credit where it was due im not a hater ive been here to long for that, I complimented him on his trap and E.T, BUt having a Gmpp exhaust and a Non factory D/P is not a stock exhaust, No matter how you word it, Just asked he be correct in his mods listed.. So that there are not people that all of a sudden think ZOMG i can run a factory exhaust with a TVS AND E85 i saw it on the forum!!!!! Ya know what that will lead to? More blown motor threads than ever. But i know nothing...

If someone is stupid enough to mod their car based around someone's signature on an internet forum, their **** deserves to blow up.

This website has lost more engines to catalytic convertors and mufflers than any other site.

True story.

Figure this is the best place to put this.

Went to the track last week, 2nd misfired at the top, and all of 3rd was total misfire too. Only managed 12.9@108 with half of 2nd, and all of 3rd useless. One run I actually hit the brakes before I even crossed the trap because it was misfiring so bad, still managed a 13.3@90 somehow lolol. I also had 0 traction even with slicks, boost control apparently wasn't working.

Turns out, I blew the vac line off my boost bypass solenoid, which explains the bad launches, but I also had my fuel regulator tee'd into that same line :/ I was missing about ~25psi of fuel pressure on all my runs, ooops. Knock sensor didn't pull any spark at all, car was detonating so bad on the high timing map (28ish* advance up top), that it nuked my plugs pretty good. This was my end result:

I guess still running 12.9 with this and 0 fuel gives me hope for decent times once I go back, also running low 13s while hitting the brakes had me laughing pretty good.

I would do a compression test. Every time I've broken a plug like that it's resulted in a busted piston (and pistons that are way stronger than stock LSJ ones, too)...

That doesn't look great, so good luck to ya.

Yeah I should of mentioned, motor is still in great shape.

If this would have happened on dino fuel, piston more than likely would of been damaged. My old Cobalt blew a ringland from a lot less.

E85 is literally holding the motor together, IMO.

That plug got rick rolled! Its amazing the motor held together on base fuel pressure with that much boost and timing. I cant even imagine how lean that would have been lol

He needs it. He will be tortured rigorously if there's something wrong with that motor.

Only because he is getting nervous that someone is faster.

BTW, how do you retard timing more than -10, no matter how much I do, it won't run less than -10, even with adder tables.

-10 will get some cinder shooting fireballs, but isn't consistent enough. Thinking -20 will get it done. Someone needs to scare the ricers on the street.

looking forward to the track results next time. When you were running mid 12's was it on this timing map and tune last year or has she been tweaked some for this year?

I honestly can't remember. I don't think I ever got a chance to run at the track with this map, besides this year where I lost fuel pressure and blew a plug.

Having an open diff is really starting to kill me now, though. It's an uphill battle at this point. I was hoping for 12 flat and MAYBE an 11.99, but I don't think I will get the traction for a 1.7 60' to do it.

Did you ever put that header/dp on and hit the Dyno again?

Header/DP is on, but the car has not been back to the dyno. It's got a bad coil pack that's causing issues, once that's fixed I'd love to get it back on the dyno though.

I'm in for some Dyno numbers with that exhaust on. I plan on doing tvs with e85 and I still haven't bought an exhaust but if your seeing 350whp on a pretty much stock exhaust I might hold off on spending big bucks on some 3in tubing. What pulley were you running and what kind of boost were you seeing? Stock tb or ls4?

Stock TB, 2.7" pulley. I don't remember the boost.

hey wes ran my car yesterday. 12.40@113. 2.7 pulley like on your runs. whats was the fastest you ran before your issues? i know your sig says mid 12's im just curious. I had to shift to fourth before the trap and was only on the 93 tune so im happy where its at. First time running on slicks and the TVS as well i believe i can shoot for the same goals you are with some race gas and more timing. I can only run 21-22 on meth before seeing some trace knock
