Changing Transmission fluid on the F35, what fluid to use?

Hello guys. I'm hoping someone can help me out a little here. I'm going to be putting in the Exedy stage 3 clutch/flywheel combo with a new slave cylinder, and thought about just changing the transmission fluid at the same time. The owners manual states that the transmission holds 1.6 qts, but it doesn't tell me what type of fluid is in there stock, or what specifications the new fluid must meet. It just says that the GM part number is 21018899, and every site I reference that part number on just states "lubricant", it doesn't tell me anything about it. Can anyone share any info with me on this? Thanks in advance.

INTENSE has some saturn LSJ transmission fluid, I guess I should just stick with the GM stuff?

Here is a pic, it's almost $12.00 a quart:

I found a site that called it Castrol Synthetic BOT 0063 (P/N 21018899). Not real sure if it's correct or not but this lube is used in a few different cars.

If you look in the upper right corner you can see the same GM number as ours.

I found the same thing. I have access to a parts department at the dealership, I guess I'll just order that part number. Now I've got to find the part number for a new slave cylinder. Thanks guys.

I'm going to guess it is 10w30 synthetic or 10w40 synthetic... but I would like to know for sure as well.

The only info I got from GM PARTEC is that it is rated at GL4 or better and it has a code of 946ML. I have no idea what that means Even he couldn't tell me what weight it is or even if it really is synthetic or not.

Needing the slave cylinder part number? Here ya go!

12583857 - CYLINDER ASM-CLU ACTR
Dealer Price $65.35 List Price $114.65 Trade Price $85.99

Thanks! It took some searching, but you just confirmed that it's the right number! So I've got the clutch/flywheel, slave cylinder/actuator, and transmission fluid all figured out. I need to see about having some custom hydraulic lines made (stockers suck), and then hopefully I can actually race next season. Is there anything I'm missing?

Here you go this is what I could find on MTF for the F35:

Here is the stock F35 Manual Transmission fluid:
-SAAB MTF 0063, SAABs fully syntetic 75W/90 from Castrol

Here are some equivalents (when using an "equivalent" you take risks of causing problems):
-Special 2105 Quaker State Mineral 75W/90 API GL 4EP
-Super Qudralube Quaker State Mineral 75W easy shifting API GL 5 EP
-High Performance Quaker State Mineral 80W-90 also to differential LS-EP. API GL 5
-High Performance Quaker State Mineral 85W-140 also to differential LS-EP API GL 5
-Synchron Fully Synt. Quaker State Helsyntet 75W-90 also to differential LS-EP API GL 5
-SMX-S Castrol gearboxoil fully syntetic 75W/85 API GL 1-4
-EP 80 Castrol gearboxoil Mineral 80W API GL 4
-Syntrax Universal Castrol gearboxoil semisyntetic 75W/90 API GL 4/5 LS

Amsoil makes some nice synchromesh that I was looking at, but it seems that I ought to just stick to the saturn fluid. Thanks for the help!

Redline Heavy Duty Shockproof...we were having shifting problems with a spec 3+..not anymore after changing to that...and it is much more protective than stock fluid.

...soooo true .

Im gonna try the Redline gearlube here soon . I just changed with GM synchromesh and it quieted down the slight gear noise/rattle I have on decel , but didnt make it go away . I talked to a couple guys on here that used the Redline and had the same prob as me and the Redline stuff got rid of ALL the noise .

So I have some fully synthetic 75W/90 from Mobil 1 Im assuming it would be safe to top off my fluid with this?

Well, I don't like Castrol or Quaker State brands so I'm not re-filling with either. I'm also surprised we are using gear oil and not ATF. I'll either use Mobil 1 75W90 or B&M synthetic 75W90.
