You might be able to get away with it. Not 100% sure.

I'll Save you some Effort the Patriot Stage2 Head comes with A Full Ferrara Valvetrain you just need to put Cams in it.

Nope 11:1 is the highest if my math was right, you can go on pump gas.

Ive actually looked into doing this. Its about $13k (thats $13,000) to complete the motor, that without labor. to get a full N/A in the 13's. It was actaully 13.2. But uh if ya wanna turn a $10 k car into a $30K car that has a trade in value of $4k, go for it.

how do you get $13K?

i have most off of that list and spent at most $3K and the rest that i need is $3K at most and that includes all labor

Not really...but if you want a quality one, go with MSD Digital Programmable 7 4cyl...that'll set you back about $800 but you can find some for $500.

well im going with megasquirt/smt-6 and i think its $1000. i asked sway awhile back but forget exactly the cost. ill be lettin u kno soon bout the manifold but im still unsure of its lack of low end power. im still doing math to see if ill be able to tune to keep some low end power

Not as bad as I thought. What about labor and tuning time though? Is that probably where the big cost is?

It's the standalone used on all the pro drag cobalts...I'd say it's pretty damn good .

second motor, i know a guy who has had a shop for 15+years (does most the work for guys that race at pittsburgh raceway park and that travel to drag) and is really good work, cheap and since i know him from a few guys at work hes givin me a good discount. $50 to bore, hone and install rotating assembly (which i paid $1100 for), small head job for $250, cams were $300, valves, springs, retainers were $400 and i got ss/sc injector kit for free from a friend, clutch n fly were $650 total and injen cost me $150 as the full exhaust cost $600.

now i need dss lvl 2 axles, stand-alone (msd lol) and i should have my list completed

most of the parts woulda been put on my car anyway whether i built or not so i didnt even really consider them as a cost for the build

The Red Cavalier on our home page www.allecotec.com is running a fully built all motor engine.... Currently he is running 13.40s and 13.50s with stock intake manifold / tb setup with a pacesetter header.

A new header was just built for the car and right now we are working on getting a better intake manifold setup for the car. The car is also going to be running the DFI Gen 7 kit with a full MSD ignition system as well.

The engine has custom 12:1 compression pistons but within the next month or so we will have another engine ready for the car which should have a much higher compression with a much larger bore size revving 9500rpm with different cams.

I'll do my best to keep you guys updated... pending the driver wants the new info out there....
