That gave me some assurance the stage 1 zzp axles won't be too quick to go.

Well it looks like I'll have this car back next week, so I guess stay tuned for another rebuild
same built motor, turbo and nitrous setup that was on it last, so should be back in the low/mid 700whp range once I get it back together. lets see what I can break this time
now has a clutchmasters clutch I had put it when I sold it, car was never driven so hopefully everything is still in good shape

Still running the F35? I've been eyeballing an F23 swap. I'm putting mine back together this weekend (hopefully).

If I remember correctly, you and I bought ours on the same day.

Still has by buddies 2007 open diff f35 in there. apparently hasn't been touched in the 2 years I sold it, just pulled the motor out to clean up some things.

I picked mine up 04/20/06
going to be weird having this thing in the driveway again. haven't seen the car in over 2 years.

When I last drained the fluid on my 05 LSD (aftermarket install), it glittered... so I'm not hopeful that it'll last. I have the OE transmission still, but it has a bad second gear synchro blocker ring. I might see if I can tear into them and make one good transmission out of the two.

And that's the same day that I got mine.

It'll be weird for mine to be running again. I've really neglected it for most of the last decade.

hahaha yeah I thought so. too funny.
well I let the car sit for a while before I sold it due to clutch issues and I was tired of pulling it apart every few weeks. hopefully this time around it's not as big a pain in the ass. so I total it's been down for almost 3 years or so now. I lost track

damn I just tossed all my broken f35's and a bunch of other parts I found cleaning the garage.
was not planning on having a cobalt again ever,,,,,, but stranger things have happened

I have a trans with a whole in the case and the diff is cracked or something. I'm sure the gears are good. Car was stuffed in a ditch and snapped an axle or whatever the ******* did

If I'm picking up a trans from somewhere, I'd probably prefer to get an F23.

I found one on LKQ from a Cobalt XFE - the ratios in that would be pretty damn close to what stock SS/SC F35's are... but I'd kind of prefer to find an early HHR trans with the 4.17 final drive.

I might swap to the f23 since I already have a twin disk that will work with it.
main thing I want to figure out is how to piggie back my holley dominator into the cobalt..... pretty much completely out of the limits of what the stock pcm can handle/do

There's a guy on here that ended up doing something similar with an AEM Infinity - only on a base model with a TVS. I meant to look through his thread, but haven't yet.

It should be in here somewhere: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l...thread-321284/

EDIT: starts talking about it at post #328; page 9 - https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l...ml#post7706669

thanks I"ll look at that too.
not trying to spend any money on this car again, I already have a dominator ecu out of my trans am and wouldn't be opposed to swapping it between vehicles.
just gotta wait and see what I'm working with first.

I wish I knew you were looking. I shipped my spare 4.05 lsd down to someone in texas. He put it in an SS sedan.

I think I remember you mentioning it. I'm honestly not that interested in putting a different/new F35 in the car, unless I picked it up for next to nothing.

John tried selling me a 4.45 LSD, but Gloria didn't get back to me with a price (I don't blame her, it was early April 2020 and they didn't have access to their US-based warehouse).

Well she's in pretty rough shape, but at least it's home. have to go through all the parts etc but most likely won't start on this thing until it gets a little warmer out
