Just an FYI. Swearing like crazy tightening the bottom bolts on my TVS with a phenolic spacer, I had the hoist and lifted it doing it from the bottom. Way easier!

For me I noticed that the temps while idling dont rise the way they did without it on a hot day or while sitting in the staging lanes. But to each their own.

Ah I won't get into the details of it. But it cost me $75 to get these new cams in my hands. Which I don't feel I should have to eat. Hopefully they make it right.

It was just too many hands in the cookie jar when it came to returning these cams. I could have saved me paying customs on the way back but ZZP didn't return my emails and just sent them out. Matt is trying to help me out with this.

Ya I fell into some spare cash so I decided to pull the trigger on the ATI
. Anyone know how much of the case you gotta grind down to make it fit? From what I've read the ATI is a pressed fit so I don't wanna have to pull it off for more grinding after its put on haha.
Sorry man i dont have FB. I run a Walker Quiet Flow muffler. The muffler shop I was using pushed me to that direction. As for volume I would say its way better than stock with the sound close to it. But if you research you could probably find more on it that you're looking for than i could tell you. I have zero drone down the highway. My exhaust set up is actually very quiet for being catless.
Heres one theory on what I think is going on:
(I'm not an expert, so dont freak out on me)
The reduced airflow, both through the intercooler and through the manifold, is allowing more engine heat to warm up the manifold, including the laminova cores. so when the throttle body is shut, there isnt any air to take away the heat, so your IAT's rise.
To support this, I notice after driving, i shut off my car and feel the surface of the manifold. it usually feels the same temperature of the ambient air. But if i come back in half an hour, it feels much hotter.
Now, the phenolic spacer does not eliminate heat transfer, but slows it down. the heat from the engine does not instantly warm up the manifold. I think many guys got rid of their phenolic spacer because they were expecting lower cruising temps, or peak temps. It seems to work best to combat heat soak when your intercooling cant work as well, due to a closed throttle body, or being parked.
Is this rational? Let me know if I am missing something here.
I think the phenolic would be a much better piece if
A) it didn't leak
And
B) our IM wasn't sandwiched between the engine and radiator.
The intake still soaks up a ton of heat off the radiator even with it isolated from the engine.

So I got the car all back together and full of fluids. Go to turn it over to prime the oil pump, all I got was a loud click of a solenoid and my radio and headlights shut off. First thing I suspected was the battery. I pulled the battery out of my winter beater Cavi and same thing. So started checking for any bad or loose connections. None that I could see. Not like there's much for wiring that goes to the starter. I pulled the fuse box back out to see if there was a bad connection. Still no go. Bit of a head scratcher. I was getting frustrated so I left it for the night. Start back on it again tomorrow and see if I can figure out what the hell is going on.
I was so looking forward to hearing my car run tonight
