Bluelightning's Build V 2.0
Well as a lot of you know on October 6th I blew my motor. I popped it a week before I was supposed to hit the rollers but ran a 12.8@112 with a 2.0 60ft at the track. If you want to know my mods just click on my car under my username. I've been thowing around a lot if I should upgrade my sleeves or not but after talking to a few heavy hitters on here, one being ZZP I'm just going to stick with the stock sleeves. I need to keep this build on a budget if it's going to be turn key for spring. Zrated89 got in contact with me and has a block that's perfect condition and ready for pistons. I'm going to take it off his hands. So here's whats in store:
- Diamond pistons 9.5:1 stock bore
- Neutral balance shafts
- 82lb valve springs
- Ported head by euthanasia
- ZZP stage 2 cams
- ARP head studs
- Cometic head gasket
- Fresh rod bearings
- More meth?
- Pulley down?
I got my Visa warmed up and ready for Black Friday lol. Hopefully I can pick up some of the stuff I need for my build at a good price. I'll update as I go. But let's start this thread off with a bang! Literally haha.

Lol I know, I've changed my mind a million times as to the direction I'm going to go. I had a line on a block with Darton sleeves, ZZP rods and Diamond pistons .100" over but the guy eneded up selling it locally so I lost the deal.
Aww the times that make you wanna say WTF lol But the best of luck on this build. I finally think I figured out what I am doing with my little LSJ. That is throwing this thing called a hairdryer at it and seeing what happens, but I will be making a little turbo build thread on here sometime. Stay tuned. I just can't wait to see what you will be making after all this though considering your old block had how many miles on it?

I'm going to move my led meth light from beside my boost gauge to somewhere beside my tach so I can watch it easier, my aeroforce gauge sits at the top of my tri pod and my wideband is in the middle, I'm going to flip the two around so I can catch knock easier on my interceptor gauge and I'm going to get tuned by someone else. Probably BennyHHR or 100%METH. Not to turn this into a tune issue I'm just eliminating everything I can so this doesn't happen again.

It's almost an impossible thing to do unless I fly someone here to tune it. No performance shops here know's anything about Cobalts and don't really want to. If you don't have a V8 you're kinda laughed at around here.

If there is no one local id say Get HPT learn the basics and become your own tuner! There are people that will give help! And plus you end up getting $$$ for tuning people in your area! WIN WIN!

I'm wayyyy ahead of ya lol. I have HPT and have slowly been learning it. I do plan to eventually do all my own tuning but I don't want to spend all summer being slow lol. Hopefully whoever tunes me doesn't mind showing me the ropes to making a good tune.
