When you remove the stock bolts haha. They are a 1 time use so might as well upgrade to ARP head studs that you can use again.

Lol you know it. One of the best movies out there! Well everything I ordered from Black Friday is on it's way. Except for the stuff I got from ZZP. They took my money but still says shipping pending. I guess they just sold that much stuff on Black Friday.

Not sure if I've mentioned this yet but I'm buying a semi built short block that kxrida2000 is selling. It consists of:

- block that was honed, magnafluxed and decked by a machine shop, wire brushed it, painted it with alumablast paint
- crank was polished and knife edged
- diamond 9.5:1 pistons with total seal rings installed
- cryo treated lsj rods
- new main and rod bearings
- new main bolts
- lsj oil pan

The motor is brand new, never run. Just waiting for him to build a crate for it and give me a shipping quote. Then I can just drop my motor and trans, put both blocks side by side and swap all the parts over needed from the wrecked one. I can't wait!

Haha yaaaaa thats still in limbo. I would love to get dyno tuned by someone but just don't see how. The next best thing would to be remote tuned by Joe (BennyHHR). I initially was going to get tuned by him but he had some family issues and was too busy to.

I'm all ears for tuners John. But to like fly someone in or drive 8 hours to get tuned is a tough pill to swallow. But so is another blown motor.

Easier said than done. You said yourself, there aren't many "good" tuners around. I can pick up hpt and put a half ass tune in.

let me try once more to help you.
1. get hpt.
2. hook up with area or similar, area is the best for tvs i am thinking pay some money here
3. use an wifi computer interface so area can manipulate your computers hpt real time from his location
4. find a local dyno
5 continue with 3.
6. ignore the advice by all means, but remember, half assed your motor went boom.

First of all I hope this motor works out for you. That would be awesome...

Secondly, I think you and I are gonna be friends....lol.. I love THAT movie too..

And thirdly.... I haven't received anything I ordered from ZZP either during black Friday while I have received everything I ordered from OTTP. I spent another $2k on black Friday and I don't even know if I am going to be able to make my LNF work..lol. Now that is funny, but sad.

I'm gonna sub your thread. You seem like a good dude!

Haha thanks man . So after talking to Mr.Rida today the crate for the short block is all built. But we've decided to wait till the new year to ship the motor. Just with the busy shipping christmas season couriers don't take overly good care shipping parcels. And I would cry if I recieved the block broken. Even though it will be insured. But something like this doesn't pop up very often. It's gonna be a long month! Literally going to be like a kid waiting for christmas lol.

Do you have a lift or are you doing it the hard way?

I'm thinking about installing one in my garage. It has a high ceiling.

You know what's scary about that? There are shops around here full of morons that would reuse them. Makes me think twice about buying used.

I'm extremely lucky that a good friend of mine lives 10 minuites from my house and has a hoist in his shop with room to store my car in his machine shed right beside it. I know it can be done on jacks but that would suck so much ass lol.

Bad tune. I just buy meth from our local performance shop by the gallon and mix it myself.
