how many ss/sc to turbo are out there?

Alright, I have been thinking about doing this for quite some time now. The more I think about it the more serious I get. I have read that prebuilt kits are the safest but alot more expensive, also you can build your own, but you have to know what your doing. I am sure there are more people out there like me that are looking to going turbo. first off, I dont want to blow up my car. I am looking for 350-400 hp. For all thoes guys that went turbo, post what did you do, what would you do different, how did it come out, and what was the final bill. Any help would be great.

I have the hahn stage 5 installed too, just have to get my oil return problem sorted out but I think it is working right now. Thanks for the help hungryhip. These past few days with the colder weather and 18psi you really have to hang on when you give it some throttle.

yeah you do lol.. so are you seeing 18 psi on cold night with the 15lb wastegate spring as well or are you boost controlled to 18psi? i saw as high as 19 i think

and not just a spike either for like half of third gear

I got a manual boost controller to raise the boost up a little bit, just a couple psi make such a huge difference. I've finally got my spec 3+ clutch and stage 2 axles in and broken in so I am letting it wide open now and hanging on for dear life. The stock clutch only lasted about 3000km with the turbo on.

i also recieved my manual boost controller today i went with a blox with ceramic ball and i will agree i went from 15 to 20psi and WOW what a difference i cant wait to get the tune completely dailed then im going all out with 24-25 psi i will say this idc went from 67 at 15psi to 82 at 20psi with meth so im do either return or pump and 79's but im also commanding a very conservative afr of 11.5 plus the meth and im sitting at about 11.2 the car seems to be very happy with that...

I got Hahn's level 5 kit and it is amaizing, the oil drain system needs some fine tuning though the oil seems to back up the tube and into the turbo and out the exhaust. The tee has to be in the right spot for it to work right. I have had the kit on since the start of October. If you do not have and upgrade clutch you need one, mine lasted 3 weeks with the turbo.

Pretty much when I run a high boost (anything 18-22) it looses power and boost after 5k and then @ about 6k completely ***** out on me. It feels almost like it hits rev limit.

I think it's a wastegate issue. I'm using the Synapse synchronic 40mm. When I set my wastegate up different and run 10 psi the car runs so great and pulls to redline. I'm going to buy a tial 38 and slap that on and see if it fixes the problem.
