Inline fuel pump?

Okay. I'm going to keep it simple. I need about 70gph (280lph) of fuel to feed my motor on it's new build. Bosch and Denso make pumps about this size, but I'm concerned about them dropping too much pressure past 70psi of rail pressure. So I was considering a 300lph just to be safe. Apexi makes the BNR32 in tank 300lph pump and I can get it for about $350. I also hear about Mustang Cobra owners running a 300lph FORD FOCUS fuel pump??? My question is, how would an inline fuel pump work with the stock pump once I go to a return style system? Could I really just stick an Aeromotive A1000 inline on the stock pump and call it a day? Because I can get them for $199. Something doesn't seem right about that though..... Thanks guys!
