Its official I am going Turbo

well guys after the feeler thread i put up that got so much interest, Ive decided if I want more on my new motor setup then I would need to go turbo. Gonna Get zzps kit but im upgrading the turbo the the S259et with a billet compressor wheel. Going to run a recirculated wastegate to keep her quiet. On my motor and head combo im going to be shooting for 550+ hp. of course ill keep her at low boost, 22psi until i upgrade the fuel system

Aiming for 10 second 1320 times

all you turbo guys let me know what u think. Im hoping ill have full boost by 3800ish rpms

If you're making 420 on a TVS that would be the highest SC number anyone has ever made on an LSJ.

Really man, everything that made your car cool is going away now. It wasn't the fact of going fast it was the fact that it was being done with a blower. 12 from a blower to me is a lot more impressive than a 10 on turbo.

my engine isnt stock anymore though. And i felt that if i wanted more the tvs couldnt do it. Ran my buddies M3 beamer bolt ons and nitrous that dynoed at 420hp and i walked away from him pretty good. Cars are similar in weight and i had a passenger he didnt. I loved being sced but in the end i always want more. And to make more on the blower would have to nitrous

I think you are going in the right direction. Blowers are awesome but turbos are just plain fun, IMHO. Heads up though, that instant boost wont be there. I went from my stock blower to a turbo and noticed significant lag, not terrible, its just not the same. But oh man come 3000 rpms (20G) its like a jet taking off. I thought I would miss the wine, not so much. I love the sound of a turbo xs H-RFL (really fin loud) BOV driving through town. People give you the weirdest looks. PSSSSFFTTT

You will love it man.

yea 3800rpms for full boost seems like thats a stretch. my 5557 barely gets that good of spool. I think the s256et would be good for you. Have you thought about trying any other turbos? Garrett GTX, Precision, etc.

i have but since im going with zzps kit i will use the borg warner turbo for now. Later on if i feel i want to step it up ill always switch since its not that expensive. the intial hit is the cost of the whole setup. Ive always wanted to run the 5557, but ive heard the 256 is comparable
