LNF ZZP ported head and cams
I'm already on e85, bolt ons, stock turbo. Thinking in the long run of things, I think I'm going to swap to their ported head with cams and everything so I can already have that taking care of for a future build.
Not built yet. Fully bolted, stock turbo. The motor has 99,300 miles, and is loving the new top end. I have the rotated front and rear trans mounts running continental dws extremes, and hooking up, nor wheel hop are an issue. I can highly recommend this mod. The only parts on my car the aren't zzp are the Hahn intake, and Hahn cat back exhaust. I threw one code while driving pretty hard for an extended period. It was P2096, and it cleared itself. So, no big deal. Hope this is what you were looking for.
When is a ported head suggested? From what I have read on the LNF engines its not a huge performance gain. Basically none on the stock turbo but when does it start benefitting on a big turbo set up like a zfr or S25x snail? Im in the process of debating a ported head with cams or just cams for an S256et build.
I am looking for 500 hp in the long rune off my 08 ss
looking to upgrade the head to zzp ported, cammed and tune
i need to go into the motor anyways to replace the water pump, timing chain and headgasket.
would this be the best way to go? I am hoping to upgrade to a bigger turbo soonish. The car was running hot @245 and worried if the head comes off for the headgasket it will need replacement anyways.
