someone was talking crap about ricer hahaha. im on my phone right now and dont have a computer to get to. if you want i can send you the pics on your phone if you give me your number. but other than that. youll have to wait. im thinking the car needs some solid pipe. the 4ply couplers i have are just squishing together. as soon as i hit the gas they push back out i just dont like the vacuum sucked in parts

Silicone couplers should always be straight section no longer then 3". I bet you're using non reinforced couplers that probably do 90 degree bends. And why are you using an air to air? It's a lot more inefficient then a water to air.

Are you still using the stock liquid to air as well?

yes the couples are 90 degree and im not sure they are reinforced or not. they are 4ply so i figured it would be ok

air to air is going to be fine. i was looking for flow not so much cooling. the tvs doesnt make as much heat and ive got enough meth to keep things in check.

the tvs is in stock position. pipes come out the bottom and go to the front then come back and into the engine

Well, a lot of people are gonna wanna see pictures. This has been a heavily discussed subject on this site... you might as well take pics now and post them up.

As far as the couplers go... like others have said... you need some reinforced ones.

If all you cared about was flow, why would you add all the extra piping? That's killing flow. So you've killed flow and sacrificed cooling. Where is the upside to what you've done?

Your pulling VAC as you know because all of those couplers are mounted after the TB. Normal setups will never see vac there because the TB is after them. You going to need to run metal bends and you can connect them with couplers as long as they are butted together. That should keep them from squishing.

Or you could try to set the TB up after the intercooler.

Agreed. You will need hard pipes for almost everything to hold the vacuum, silicone will flex too much and collapse under strong vac.

if he managed to get rid of the stock intake manifold, he would be loved by soooo many members. That's the big point in his setup. after you ditch the stock IM, you can cool the charge however you like, be it air-air or water-air (without laminovas!)

Looks like the OP cut the bottom half of his IM off and attached a charge pipe to the remains.
