then do some internal stuff, make a new intake manifold and port the heads and you could see 11's
do alot of the work yourself and look for some good deals and you could do it pretty cheap
thats what i thought. and yes i do all my own work so it would save alot.

do your research. there are alot of fun products comming out.
start off doing some research on here. cooling mods will take you a long way and used parts will save you a ton.
new stuff like killer chiller and whenever an intake manifold comes out will get you most of the way there. as long as you can drive.

tuning in these cars is critical, if you know your stuff, look into hptuners its all your gonna need to tune most of what this car will do. if not get in with a shop near you that has it. search this site alot, if its out there its been tried on here. alot of the time youll have to dig through alot of **** but youll find what you wanna

You can get into the 12's...its not simple, but it can be done without breaking into the motor or using nos. It'll be simpler if you open the exhaust ports on the head.
Lets see...
60# injectors
2.7 or smaller pulley
air box mod or cai
full exhaust
poly tranny mounts
cooling mods (dual pass and an extra h/e)
a set of slicks
a lot of track time

can't forget tuning...
he'll need stage 2 axles if he's using slicks, and a beast of a clutch

go turbo, most efficient for 4cyl cars anyway. Put it in the Solstice...

this is not gonna be "cheap" no matter what car you start with if you want it to be reliable, lets just be honest with ourselves here. Depending on the platform though I'll give u 3.5-4K to get it done...

anything you do powerwise to these cars is going to require supporting mods aka more money.

but if it was me personally, I would go with a Sky Redline...RWD will make it alot easier and of course we know the LNF can support the power.

thats my pick...but good luck either way
