motor swaping
I have a lsj that is pretty much down and im thinking it's not really worth it to build on a 100k block so... i was wondering i found many LNF motors that are in good condition and low mileage. Would the swap be possible with my harness or would my car be a headache?
also are the trans the same?

never mind than. i just wondering if the electrical was possibly a easy plug and play but figured since the fuel system was different it be a little harder
figured be better to just get the turbo motor and not worry about the old lsj motor since it's got 100k on it
is the LNF block able to build on since it's the GEN 2 block? so i can just swap the bottom end? or is that not possible either

U can swap in the lnf block and just change out the head and fuel system for the lsj one and you should be good to go. You can still use ur lsj trans or switch to the lnf one but then u would need to swap axle's, hub's, and brake lines iirc

im just trying to figure what my best Solution. To get the bottom end as strong as the newer ones it'll cost me a good 3K+ which honestly ain't worth my time/money. Figure find a busted up New cobalt ss (easy find) than take the bottom end and work on the Head and make some nice power.
What about the Compression from the LNF motor?
