lol... that's why I'm handling this myself... from planning to building to tuning and testing. I don't like to rely on others. Fortunately I have cobalt-addiction locally and they have helped me out before and hopefully they can help me out with my turbo manifold and intake manifold. Gonna talk to Kenny tomorrow and see what kind of schedule and whatnot I can work out with them. I unfortunately lost my garage last year, so this is definitely gonna be a challenge, but so were all my last projects which people said I could never get finished.. and I did. So wish me luck and hopefully soon I'll have one the fastest, if not the fastest street legal balts out there, until rod's is done of course.

Do you honestly thing your going to get 700 whp from it too
Seriously those turbos can't support that power. 700 rwhp is like 850 to the crank. Plus having two cylinders trying to spool both turbos you'll have massive lag. I'm thinking about going with a Whipple W140AX, AKA the 2.3L twin screw the cobra guys use to make 600 rwhp. I'm thinkin a mild 700 whp is easy

I may be a broke ass 18 year old kid, but getting 95% of my stuff sponsored helps A LOT!!!

You don't seem to know what I am actually doing with this build aspect of my project.

Well, I am not 18 or broke and I won't be stopping this project until I acheive my goals.
I am curious as to your reasoning though, of why you feel the need to put out there that you are doing a $6,000. build.

as he said Rod... he's only 18.. no experience... I have full confidence in what you'll be putting down. I'm going for the same numbers, but on one big turbo (and nitrous for down low) damn s/c fanbois.... they'll learn the hard way lol

Cam Cam has no clue, is all.

Good luck, I finally finished my bottom end and got the car back on the road. I now want to do my top end, as soon as the locals here get their cams in so I can get a 2nd set of stockers and get a regrind.

Once my motor is the way I want it, I will start looking into power adders. I am still waiting to see a tuned and track tested turbo balt before I choose what I want. It will either be you or Dan probably.

Because, it will consist of around $6000 worth of parts/machining/labor

Why can't this be more of a friendly competition against each other and a whoopin on them damn imports? lol..Hell, I have a 300Z TT that wants to redeem himself after losin to me while his car wasn't runnin right. lol..I am applyin for a new job, and uh...lets just say...If this job comes through....My car will be getting built from bottom up FO SHO!! lol..

Keep up the good work on them builds guys, I support all ya'll and your super Cobalt building

lol... it's all in fun man. Maybe others are taking it seriously. but while I"m out on you due to turbo lag and traction from the instant tq of the s/c once it spools up... I just say goodbye. lol

and traction... who needs traction. that's what the slicks are for

Yeah, those are cheap... and so are new axles and a high performance clutch

Its all in good fun though, weather its turbo'd or super'd they will still be fast as **** and destroy almost anything they come up against

I hope so man, I hope you prove me wrong. But I doubt it. Turbo cobalts are already running 11's 10's and 9's nippin at 8's and you guys complain about turbo lag, the S/C is taking forever........

You car will be sick no doubt there

There are no LSJ Cobalts running 7's on a SC.

*Hijacking thread*

Just to please/**** you off, we have decided to use the down time for the rwd conversion to address your concerns.
So we are getting bigger turbos and a custom crankshaft good for 1,000bhp.

*Returning thread Paul*

06BlackG85SS do you have a stock block for sale? All I need is the bare block with sleeves pressed in already. I do not need pistons/rods/crank or anything just the block. Please PM me and let me know.
