OFFICIAL Turbo06Sedan Build Report & Progress
So, Alot of the guys (Blown 4-Banger, & 06blackg85ss) have theire build threads. However, that doesnt make it so exciting since both are 2.0's. I am starting mine for the 2.4.
As it sits (too my knowledge), I am the fastest 2.4 on the site as it sits with a 13.56 @ 108. And not to mention, Im also a Sedan.
I have alot of new toys coming, and alot of toys already here, and more still to be ordered.
Current Modifications:
2.4L LE5 with a 4T-45E automatic 4 speed transmission. (Bone Stock Internals/Tranny).
Eibach Sportlines, Hahn Stage 2 Turbo Kit, Muffler Delete.
Parts sitting in garage:
IPT Performance Transmission
For the turbo 2.4 guys with the auto trannies, the biggest question is, "how much horse power before the tranny fails". And I intend to find this out. I am constantly trying to "break" the tranny by pushing more and more power to it (without blowing up the engine itself).
Here in a few weeks time, I am going to be getting: Custom Turbo Grind Cams, installation of my 3" Exhaust (which will ultimately couple down to a 2.24" for the "noise control", however my 3" elec. dump will go on before the coupler for track days), going to port/polish the turbo/turbo header.
Porting the cylinder heads, as well as a full engine rebuild. Why? You 2.0 turbo guys cant be the only ones over 400whp. I feel left out. Besides, nothing like friendly competition from your "younger brother".
a GT35R will be ordered soon (pending info. from HAHN as to fitment), a larger intercooler, and AIS Meth Kit will be ordered all at the same time.
Although the hahn tune is not the "best", it does the job well. and by well, i mean its enough to put a smile on your face from ear to ear. However, a custom tune fitted towards my car is the best for the most realistic power goals.
Realisticly, I plan on achieving a 400whp car within 1-2 months, and over 500whp with upgraded internals. My goal is to be the fastest "documented" 2.4 Sedan in the world. Because lets face it, those with the money, who want something insanely fast dont buy an automatic sedan. I would realisticly like to break into the 10's on DR's, and 11's on street tires.
This thread will have pictures along the way of the install.

ive seen good numbers from the supercharged 2.4's. running similar times, but with a bit more in numbers from a mild tune / stock sized pulley.
Ya, its a fun car.
The only real "downpoint" with the setup is, it feels like the SS/SC pull harder (with me in the passenger seat), however, my car is faster by alot.

as it stands regardless of what i do to the stock tranny..the ******* thing just wont fail.
ive neutral dropped it from 7000rpms its not even funny. the ******* thing just takes it....and to let me know it "cares", each time i switch into a gear..i hear a nice *click*.
im givin it another week before i throw on the new tranny.
2l's there guy lol.
but congrats, I'm interested to see how things go with the trans since I'll be more than likely swapping out to an auto after the motor is finished. Nice easy to launch, don't lose boost, consistant, and doesn't shatter lol

certain gears, im at a whopping 10psi....others im only at 8.
So.. Ive never seen it vary like that with gears...
gettin a new camera/vid camera soon to take some pics/vids. will post soon.
its on my long list of "things to do".
Im sure its the T i used to install my mech. boost gauge into...since i checked/double checked the gauge installation itself.
