I have been reading and was to my local dyno tuner last night and we got to thinking. The 05-06 2.2 l61's have the E16 ECM while the 07+ have the E37 ecms. Now they both run the same motor. So what would happen if we took a 07 ecm..changed pinouts if needed and used HP tuners to calibrate it to the 05-06 specs then build it off that?? Just wondering if anyone has tried it yet or what? This is an experiment and prob won't work but we're going to try anyway and see what happens.

 

hptuners does not support any 2.2 cobalts/ions/g5's iirc?

 

maybe I was wrong but I thought they did..either way LS2 Edit does support 07+ 2.2.

 

nope i just checked again. no 2.2 ecotecs are supported

 

same here lol. But yes LS2 Edit does support 07+ 2.2. We checked into it last night.
