So let me get this straight....

Old setup...
  • stock set you would make 21psi
  • you would shift and it would drop to 6psi
  • you where loosing 3psi on old mani
  • heat soak i assume
  • so 21psi - 3psi (from stock mani) you should of been 24psi total..correct

with new setup...
  • probably 24psi at max rpm
  • shifting boost from 6psi to 9psi now
  • higher flowing mani
  • no heat soak
  • and belt is tighter so no belt slippage

my lord this thing is going to be an animal! so your telling me the stock roots when shifting drops to what 10psi??? and then rises to 15psi...correct

and you will be shifting to 9psi and rising to 24-25psi...can you say murda!

chevy is this info correct above????

my question i have is...will the lsj hold up to 24-25psi...i would think it would because of the smooth power increase that the procharger produces and low air temps but then at 24psi that is is going to be warm (gotta love a FMIC)

As rickyw said it will be at my website! I will have all the info for the build there for you to see! including the old dyno grahp and the new one after its done. Also I will make videos of my vs a corvette, STI, and another cobalt! just see we have an idea of how fast ( or slow ) it maybe. Also I have a buddy with a vortech on is mustang that will be the true anwser of how this thing works. Im sorry for the delay in the video but Im installing the vibrant header and downpipe with a magen racing exhuast for the final tune! I still need to get my new filter for the kit also so I can hit just over 24psi of boost! not that the boostr gauge gos that high anyway!

I'll reserve my opinions till I see dynos or track times

as a former owner of a vortech ecotec you can understand my skepticism

No I understand I went though a lot of thing just to get this far! But with 238 whp @ 12 psi I think at least the potential is there for it to open up. But theres always the fact that you cant get around i know! But it was fun to build a is very one of a kind as of right know and it gets a lot of attention from everyone at the shows. In fact it won a small car show here in my town!

What vortech did you have on yours? Was it an ss/sc? or a 2.2l? Is it the kit I saw on ebay for the cavalier?

Also what pulley and head unit did you have? was it intercooler?

Sorry for all the questions Rodimun_Prime but I really want to know!

I had a RSM Vortech kit ran about 6psi on a 2.2 L61 Cav it put down about 185whp untuned, never could get it into the 14s though because there was no boost until 5500
