Naw he hasnt yet. doesnt really create any issues besides CEL.

I cant see why the car couldnt pass emissions as long as your cat converter is good and the CEL is taken care of.

We still haven't fixed the sensor issue. I'm sure once we do that and the sensor sees correct position then it will go away.

You can turn off codes in HPT.

what does that sensor do though? Wouldn't it make the car run messed up?

I believe it just remembers where cam position is. Our tuner said it would just be easier starting i guess. Car runs great.

*Update*
Car has been running great. No issues at all really. I still have yet to correctly time the camshaft position sensor, so sometimes it takes a little to start, but nothing crazy.
Getting 18-20mpg on E85 tuned at 25* and I'm always on it.
Plugs are gaped at .37-.38 and it runs SMOOTH.

Going to go to a 2.7 pulley, Phenolic Spacer, and Dual Pass all at once.
Hoping to get numbers into 300whp. But we shall see. Dyno sometime this summer, unsure of when my group dyno is.

Thanks,
Bratboy90

Do you know if the Saab ex cam hex timing is correct for the LSJ's cam sensor? Saab's don't need a timed hex insert, so maybe that's why your cam sensor is off. Not sure...

Ow, and read some specs of the B207 cams and your 207-R cams are pretty close to the LSJ spec so not much HP loss there. (a bit less lift than the LSJ's and slightly different timing.)

The cams of a B207-L engine however is much softer than the R and will probably make (a lot) less HP when supercharged...

I still have yet to time the cams position sensor. You could be right. The sensor fits right is the exact same as the LSJ had. I guess I'll find out when I actually do some work. It's one of those things that isn't bothering me at all, so why even bother. LOLZ

So, 2.7 is on with E85. Pulls great. 3rd feels like a damn rocket, no more faceplant feel.

Virtual Dyno is claiming 297whp and 260wtq. Hoping to get on a dyno this saturday(maybe).

NEW VIDEO's:

Before 40-70mph:
Takes about 4 seconds
Cobalt SS/SC 3.0 E85 2nd Gear 40-70mph - YouTube

After40-70mph:
Takes about 3.4 seconds
Cobalt SS 40-70 E85 2.7 Pulley - YouTube

After 40-105mph:
Takes about 10 seconds
Random misfire around 5k in 3rd gear. Can't figure out why. No KR, no timing change, nothing weird. Fuel pressure remains. Meh, new plugs might fix er sometime.

Thanks,

Here's some video's of the car out on the racetrack. No drag racing yet sorry, but good video of me tearing it up on some nice cars out on a real track.

Oh, Dual Pass, Phenolic Spacer, and 2.7 Pulley are now on!! WOOT!!!

I'm looking to be at AT LEAST 280whp on E85, hoping to reach 300whp and I'll do what I need to get there, but I won't go past that without selling the car and buying a rwd/awd car.

I agree, Supercharged show a linear graph with steady hp/tq levels. Turbo's tend to have a big difference in power between the rpms which the supercharger is solid almost a straight line of power to peak rpms.
Could not have said it better myself. This is me 2 days ago. Looking to do this or build if my sleeves are not damaged.

LSJ or B207R??? If it's the B207R, you could swap to the LSJ head if you need. I'll be finding out about fixing this CEL next week we're doing a crank re-learn.

High Pressure B207R, my current motor is 77K miles, this is not that big a jump in mileage and I will probably just use the B207R head for now and build my LSJ head for later

I might be doing a ported, cam'd, and valvespring head sometime. I'll update this thread if/when it happens. I'm also checking with a fellow member on here about the tone ring on the B207R crank vs the LSJ crank to see if that's why the CEL is being throw. Still, it's a great running motor.
