SCcobaltSS Twincharge Build

So after about a year of gathering and deciding I started my twincharge build. Pictures will be up tomorrow more than likely.

Mods are in my sig.

Addition:
GT3076r
Hahn 600hp intercooler
Vulcan tubular header w/ jet hot 2000 coating
Tial 50mm bov
Tial 38mm wastegate
Custom 3" turbo back exhaust
Custom 3" intake
Custom charge pipes
Stock pulley

The turbo only has a .63 exhasut housing. I have a 1.06 on order so I don't boost too quickly. Got some tuning and manual control for the bypassing.

Day 1:
Got the stock exhaust off ( it was a pain in the ass!) Put the header, turbo, intercooler, piping the intercooler to sc charge piping on. It took a while to cut and place the piping.

Tomorrow I will finish the charge pipes and get the exhaust welded up. Then start the oil and water runs.

Pictures as of 12/31/10:

Update 01/03/11:

Ordered a .82 T31 Exhaust housing, this does not have the flared exhaust outlet. This will allow me to fit a downpipe between it and the trans mount. Will get the part either today (if I can get a ride) or tomorrow (shipped).

Update 01/04/11:

Dropped the .82 T31 housing off to the exhaust shop so the exhaust can finally be finished!

Full 3" exhaust on! Ready to finish the charge pipes and run the water and oil lines tomorrow!

Update 01/10/11:
Installed all gaskets with the parts
Installed 1/2 water and oil lines
Finished charge pipes
Finished intake

Just have to wait for my BOV flange to be welded today, install wastegate and BOV w/ vacuum lines, put the car back together.

Update 01/21/11:
Finished installing all the parts!! Car runs great just boosts very fast.

Need to do:

Put stock pulley size on
Get manaflow muffler installed
Get dump tube recirculated... Way to ******* loud
Tune!

What's your end power goals? A 3076r is making 400-450 on average in our cobalts.

if u run E85 and that set up you will probably be the fastest cobalt in AZ. what i want to know is how are you going to bypass all that air through the bypass area on the intake mani .please could educate me.

I will be until FF ace gets his turbo on. Lol then it will be interesting.

In the tune I can definately bypass all the air at 4000 rpm in all gears. I think I found a way to bypass all the air in any rpm I want I just have to play with it. If my tune doesn't bypass from any rpm I am going to use pressure regulators on the bypass vacuum lines to manual help it bypass. I will have to play with those also to try to get it to transition between the blower and turbo. Tuning will probably take a couple weeks to get it just right.

haha yah if I had a lift maybe I would weld it.

So.... little progress today. Got my BOV welded from a different person than who is going to weld up the charge pipes because the welder had to go out of town unexpectedly. I have all the pipes ready but need to wait.

Also another snag, I took it to the exhaust shop and he couldnt get the DP to fit between the turbo and the trans mount. There was only 3" between the two and its because my exhaust housing flares to a 3" when it exits. So I am hoping that the 1.06 housing doesnt have the flare so I can get the DP to fit.

Ugh... things never go right with my builds.
