Anyone put their balt on a serious diet? Stripped interior, ac delete, manual locks and windows, lexan glass replacement, gutting the dash, etc. Im looking for how much weight your alterations saved you, as well as your total wieght after all your work.

Wr is a entirely useful mod you idiots. I cant remember the username but a ion owner from quebec did serious wr on a base ion and ran a low 14 I think?
As to the just buy an ss that is also idiotic. If op plans on doing a custom turbo kit then why buy an ss just to ditch the stock manifolds and k04/m62.
I might be wrong but on a budget you can buy the sstc suspension bodykit and wheels for cheaper than an actual ss. ah yes the user name is huckernage op, search him up he will help you with wr

there is a video on here about getting rid of some weight but its not serious. youd have to do some searching online and see what others are doing with there cars.
Weight reduction: An overview and a few ideas - HondaClub.com - Online forum for Honda and Acura owners
basically remove everything from the inside of the car. the spare tire, jack, carpets, sound deadening material, plastics, roof liner, seats, stereo, speakers, airbags.
if you wanna go crazy buying lightweight body panels. removing large metal items (like bumpers).
get thinner glass made, or lexan.
remove power windows locks and mirrors.
remove gas tank (replace with fuel cell)
get rid of windshield washer fluid tank.
tubular a arms.
really it all depends on what your gonna do with the car, how illegal you wanna go and what the race restrictions are for your class, and how much money you wanna spend.

i hate that sleeper build bullshit excuse. Why would i buy an SS to go fast and tear it down? might as well buy a piece of **** slow ass cheap model and build it before doing any research. Itll be a SICK sleeper. everyone will look at my car and go wow look at that slow ass piece of **** stock ass cobalt. i bet that dude cares about his gas milage and bought the gayest cobalt they offer. what a queer. And even if u WIN a race against another rediculously slow car, i bet you the other car would go wow is it worth getting rid of my ac, all my seats, all my interior panels, and getting ******* roll up windows just to pull half a car on another slow turd. Eff that. let me go put the AC on and listen to that new kanye album

im just saying if its a track car and u dont wanna spend too much money then a civic is cheaper no like those crx ones for like 1000$
99% of people on here use their cobalt for everyday stuff like groceries and picking up friends and driving around and yes picking up chicks too jesus.
my point is valid look at that video where that civic beats a CTS-V modded to the bone and that lil civic sohc with a ebay turbo just eat him alive...
