Slowbalt_06 Going Turbo.......
OK....i dont have these crazy dreams of 500 whp....i just want 325ish...so i'm gonna go turbo ..i'm alittle newbie when it comes to turbo, i'm tryin to put a list together of things i needs...whats a good turbo to go with for that power...oil lines..ect...how do you think stock internals will hold up...i will probly be using the stock intake manifold for awhile then switching to the hahn manifold later...but like i said this will not be a crazy build before the turbo goes on i will be replacing pistons...headstuds and headgasket..and clutch when necessary...i'd like to here from the turbo lsj guys...
Good luck...
BTW, look into the turbonetics GT-K series
WTF just listen to me. I tried it. There is a crank case vent port on the LSJ that needs to be open to the manifold. The ONLY other manifold with a similar port is the LK9 intake manifold. It's not new news.
Your giving wrong information. This kid is going to rip his manifold off and try to bolt up the 2.4 mani and think, "Oh, damn this doesn't ******* work, wtf!"

i knew they all bolted up fine, so i assumed they all worked, and i know the LSJ one works on LE5's and L61's, so i assumed the reverse was true. My bad
at least you man enough to admit you were wrong...rare on this site...
true dat..i'm gonna be doin the pistons headgasket and studs along with a buddy that built his 2.4 motor...i wanna go turbo honestly for a project i dont beat on my car..i can count on 1 hand how many times my cars been to redline in the past 3 months
If you do go turbo seriously look at the GTK series
yea but just tryin to do something different the sc is nice just wannd custom turbo
. Seriously though dyno charts don't mean much at the track. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that, just keep the power on the road and not so much on the computer screen. 2lbs/tq > 1hp
cool cool man, lemme know if you have questions on this stuff, i can pretty much let you know how to do everything, give you some ideas advice, etc i spent counless night researching up and down google, and other forums learning on how turbocharging works, read thru garretts 101, 102, 103(skimmed it)...i recommend reading those for starts, they will give you the low down, and are a good base for your turbo knowledge

that would be a awsome choice as you can get those for dirt cheap and it will easily get you to your goal and have great drivability... and trust me 325whp is plenty i have made most of my kills on the low boost 320whp setting the car is so fast from a roll, i dont even ever have to turn the boost up.
you will also save yourself money in axels clutch and tires this way as well...
those have better straight line but it so little i preffered the kdw's as they were hands down better in the twisties...
