1st gen projectors with HID's

I tried searching but i couldnt find it, im sure its up somewhere. I was wondering what exactly was needed to put hid's in the projectors. I know there are some members who sell kits as well, but i just want to know if its easier/cheaper to just buy the parts and put them together myself. Thanks.

anyone any help??

wow u got ripped off. I got my mechanic to put them in for free since it only took 15mins. But if he did charge me it would have cost me $50.

To the OP like he said. all u have to do is a buy a HID kit and wire it up yourself. Instructions come with it. If you arent into wiring it i say get someone that knows what they are doing.

Gen 1's use H1 bulbs, mine fit in with no effort...

It is an easy install, just make sure you remove your DRL fuse if your 07 and up or install a relay...

Hardest part about install is finding a good place to mount the ballast... other than that piece of cake!

Personal choice...
your gonna hate the way they look with Gen 1's, when you aim them properly there will be a V almost in the middle where the light is very dim, other than that they look pretty slick..

he might of bought the 9007 projectors (like I did) so you might have to drill a bigger hole for the H1 bulb, that what they had to do. I was a Noob and did not know HID with gen1 was H1 at the time:/

If you drill you might get shavings in your housing but you can barley see them.

If that is the case, I know most companies will do an exchange, all you will have to pay is shipping..

again just my 2 cents.
