i dont see why they wouldn't. You should also be able to do the ss/sc wheels or ss wheels too if you wanted. But wow to already swapin body panels on an 08.

haha im just looking into it, somebody told me the lip kits on the bumpers wont be able to be put on for some weird reason, the ss and ss s/c wheels are 5 lug, reg cobalts are 4

Me and my dad do body work so it's not a big deal to paint and put on new panels.

I thought the "newer, 07+" base models came in five lug now? I might be wrong... I dunno. What are you meaning by lip kit? If your talking about the stock ss/sc kit, it wont fit onto the regular ss bumpers.... The regular ss F&R bumpers do not have the perferations for the kit to mount up to.... If your wanting the ss/sc kit then your gonna have to get ss/sc F&R bumpers... That was hard to explain... make sense? lol

The lips wont fit on the fit on a base model fascia. if you want those you need to upgrade the whole piece. and it is a direct bolt on.

As for the wheels, the 2007 LT's came with 5x110 patterns so i would imagine the 2008's would as well. If you have 5 lugs I am sure you could fit SS wheels. if not 4x100 is a very common pattern and there are literraly THOUSANDS of options to choose from in the aftermarket.

The fascia (bumper) is the same on the SS as it is the SS/SC. To fit the lip you would have to find a way to mount it because the SS' didnt come with perforations for the lip kit. You could just cut slots into the bumper for the tabs. The LT bumper will not fit the SS lip kit, but there are options, check out the RK Sport lip kit.... it's sexy

Nope, I'm Pretty sure they come in just about even lug pattern. I've seen em on plenty of 2.2's over the years

You 2.2 guys have about 1,000% more wheel options than us 2.4/2.0 guys.

I looked at this, but GM will charge an ass load for the new bumpers, something like 3x their value if you go to the stealership

i was always ticked that they dont make the sti rims for us 4 luggers.. the bbs gold or silver ones.. they are pure sex to me.. but i love my konigs.. easy to clean, can easily get my hands in and behind them.. there light as **** to.. one of them is lighter than 2 of my old stock steelies

EDIT: cobaltfan, there is a site where u can get the bumper for like 180 or so primed.. doesnt include the lip kit though also check gmpartsdirect.com (dont member there price though)

Yes, the bumpers are the same design wise, but the ss/na bumper does not have the perforations for the lip kit. I dont recommend cutting holes in the bumper.... Since your going to have to buy a bumper, why not buy the right one?

My base G5 came with a 5 lug pattern, only because I got a package with different rims. I can't find any 5 lug wheels that are 5x110 only, I hate all those rims that have 6 different lug patterns as well as 5x110...
