haha its funny that people still think the number means something to do with how hot they are.

HID bulbs run COOLER than the stock **** that comes in your car.

The number is in honor of William Kelvin, who heated a block of carbon and noted the changes in color that it went through as it was heated.

10k HIDs are the color of Carbon when heated to that point etc.
it has no reference to the heat of the bulb. only its color.

no no no....i was talking about the bulbs breaking. i heard the hid bulbs are alittle bit longer than the normal size bulbs so sometime they hit against the projector and have a potential of breaking or not fitting. do you get what im saying?

Kelvin has to do with the color

NOT with how bright they are

Brightness is measured in lumens, and usually the higher the kelvin, the lower the lumens

Thumbs down

Yeah dude I say go for the 30,000k kit. That would be the color of a black light. You wouldn't be able to see anything at all. As a matter of fact, your turn signal light would travel further than that.

I mean who cares if you can see anything at night... It will look mega Siiic

I dont know where you guys are getting the "it will melt your headlights" theory.

1K to 10000000000K is simply just the color it produces, nothing to do with heat.

Do you have any standing outside of the car, like next to the driver door and the lights on the ground?
