I finished the swap in my RL, but it's definitely different from the Cobalt....
Alright so I had the idea at first, but passed it up because of a RIDICULOUS estimate, but all it took was $50 to complete the swap & everything is functional.....pics....
First off...the airbag light on the cluster & the airbag light on the dash not working (nothing plugged in/no seat cushion):
The "new" Recaro cushion...complete with the airbag sensor & wiring:
The "new" Recaro cushion in the car & plugged in....notice the airbag light on the cluster is gone (goes away by plugging it in) & the airbag light on the dash is working now (it goes "OFF" if no one is in the seat--less than 30 lbs. & it goes "ON" when someone is in the seat):
I'm sitting in the seat without my seatbelt unattached, it says "ON" & the seatbelt sign lit up:
I'm sitting in the seat with my seatbelt attached, it says "ON":
Everything is 100% working right & functional.....final pics:
This is what I had before...unsupportive "pleather" seats:

i have searched all over the place for an answer to this: Will this work on swapping from stock 06 ss/sc red/black leather seats (non-airbag sensor/seat belt sensor) with 08 ss/tc black seats? we may be swapping out and i just need to figure this out first before we take everything apart. Thanks for any help

yea, it should work. when i took my seats out for drag racing i looked at the bottoms and it looks like they used the same track, just modified the cushion and support bars. Ive also swapped out ION recaros into a LS balt and G85 recaros into a G5/GT so all of the seats are interchangeable

i need to get on this and figure out how to make it factory looking....
i assume you had heated leather seats and swapped out the heating elements into the recaros when you installed them??

i ripped off the heating pads and the ass pressure sensor on the passenger side and transplanted it to the recaros, the hardest part other than getting the covers off is that you have to glue the heating pads to the foam and its hard to get the covers to set exactly just like they were I messed up a bit on the drivers side
