I got my 3rd gens and followed the how to on how to wire them, so i can do that now. I orderd a set of hids the other day and im going to put it all in at one time. What do i need to do to modify the projector to accept my h1 hid bulbs? and i got a kit thats not plug and play so do i NEED to disable drls or should i get one of those universal relays.. the hids i got are supposed to cut off under low voltage so i was thinking i wouldnt need to disable my drls.. here's the hids..

you wont need to mod the lights at all to install the hid bulbs. one thing you should do if you havent already is take the lil reflector outta the projector lens thou. it creates some bad glare with hids. there is a how to for that

The only gen you modify is GEN 1

 

oh cool so dang..i just unscrew the original halogen h1 and screw in the hid h1?

 

H1 = H1....guessing it will work just fine

 

lmao... self-owned..im trippin out for no reason.. i just cant seem to find any hid instructions for doin 3rd gens on here..i feel a bit more relieved too.. and from wut i saw 06s dont need to take out the drl fuse

The mod's that I know for sure are the bulb fitting.

HID bulbs are not really tested in them, so they really arent designed for the housing. They are a lil to big for it. So you have to shave it down a lil.

I don't have linky
