Does anybody here know what the heck is going on in 2008 with the SS S/C Cobalt? I heard through a dealership that Chevy was bringing out both the HHR Turbo and Cobalt SS Turbo. Struck me as odd that two compact performance cars would be offered. So upon research I found that people were saying that the 08 Turbo Cobalt and possibly the HHR is a go for production. Then later it was taken back and said that the idea was scrapped for both the Cobalt and HHR which I also heard that through a dealership. Then I saw things about the 08 being brought back out as a Supercharged model. Trying to do research does me no good, all I come up with is articles and blogs and such about all 3. No dates on them so I don't know when they were written. A guy also posted on here the colors, options, trim levels and packages for the Cobalts in 08. And "Summit White" was a color option. If that is in fact true I want one in white. lol. But for now, could someone inform me of what GM is doing because my own research has turned up absolutely nothing.

 

Ban him!!! There will be no more Cobalt SS not w/ a turbo, not w/ a super, not at all.

 

Seriously man, search on here. Your GUARANTEED to find something on the subject. There is no SS period of the Cobalt. Its now Sport coupe for the 2.4 probably. Thats it. No supercharger, no turbo, no fun.

Anything you hear on here or anywhere else will be nothing more than speculation. No one knows what's going to happen for sure. Wait a year and see what shows up on the dealership lots.

 

The only turbo Chevy on the Delta platform will be the upcoming Chevy HHR SS, with the LNF engine that is currently in use in the Solstice GXP and Sky RedLine. There will be no top of the line Cobalt, which means no Supercharged or Turbocharged Cobalts for 08

 

lol, chill 07ss he's just asking is all. There will be no ss/sc in '08 and the cobalt ss (2.4) will be known as the cobalt sport. There is no news of a turbo cobalt, it's merely speculation. I do recommend you use the search button on this forum, because this topic has been done to death and some of these guys will flame you quick! lol, I hope I was helpful.

partner there are litterally 17 - 20 threads about the 08 cobalt ss/sc being cancelled. If you looked for even 1 second you would of found them. Banning is a little absurd but seriously these guys are just getting tired of reading the same **** over and over again

Did anyone hear that they are discontinuing the 08 cobalt ss/sc ?
