bump....so far i've got that i should use the black wire an not the grey.....so if noone else gets up on here i guess i'll try to hit up that black wire when i get home

Exactly what I thought. My son works for Stewart Warner and started out building gauges. He is in the engineering side now and explained what minuscule amount it takes to signal the circuit board to do it's thing. It will not interfere with your O2 signal to the PCM if you wire it correctly and avoid adding some resistance.

It was a purple wire right before the connector to the o2 sensor (before cat).
see my wiring isnt wired like that..on both sensors i have 4 wires.....2 white, 1 black and 1 grey...its obviously not the grey i don't think cuz i'm hooked up to that right now an nothing...i guess i'll just have to try the black when i get home...an i guess we just splice into these an not cut an connect.am i correct with that assumption?

Amazing that they are different. Yes.....don't cut the wire....splice. I'm talking color codes before the O2 pigtail. The O2 pigtail is covered with a high temp coating.

yea its why i've had to make this thread....some ppls are wired like mine and others arent....so i made this for me an as soon as i find out the right wire to hook up to i'll confirm an post it in the other How To thread so others know if they have the same setup i do an wish to use narrow band

yea bout 45 mins or so depending how deep into reading..i used to live in douglassville actually which is right outside reading but before pottstown

ok ppl to all those who have the 4 wire sensors with 2 white, 1 grey and 1 black...that guy was correct, it is the black wire that is the signal wire...so if your's are hooking up narrow band then thats the wire for you
