About the holes in the trunklid: I've got some special putty in there now to prevent leaking into the trunk, but hopefully I'll be able to get a shop around here to weld up the holes, and paint over it. If not, I might just look into getting a CF trunk, getting it painted, and putting new emblems onto the lid. I like the look of the emblems, and it looks way too bare without them and the spoiler.

Thanks for all the positive comments .

I'll take some more pics tomorrow if I get a chance, been pretty busy with school stuff tonight since then, also haven't finished pulling the foam tape off, that stuff was extremely heavy duty, even with using goo-gone.

It looks clean; I like it.

As a side note, what kind/size wheels are you running in those pics? I might look into them for mine...

Thanks!!

Just because YOU, in your infinite wisdom decide that base model Cobalts are pieces of ****, it doesn't mean they are, boy.

Wingless looks great : now get rid of that POS antenna... it looks like a R/C car... not a S/C car ...

The wheels are Vöxx MG:

I believe the ones on there are 17x8, they rub a little bit at some points, but not terrible. I need to look into what it's rubbing on though..

Tires are Yokohama Ice Guard, 215/50/17s. The circumference is about .5% less then stock, but it's not a big deal, I just compensate for it with the speedo.

It's incredible how nice this car handles in the snow with these tires. I would definately say its better then my 4x4 Sonoma with all-season tires. It might even take off faster then the truck used to.

I just took it off a few hours ago, so I haven't had time to get the holes filled, only temporarilly.

I'm gonna make a few phone calls over the next couple of days to see what my options are. I wouldn't mind having a spare trunk lid if it would end up costing slightly more then getting the holes welded in. Might get the keyhole shaved as well depending on how it looks... I'll have to pshop a picture to see if I like it.

the only way it would seperate me is if the guy here on base with the base model took his off along with that body kit. it looks good and all but i think he should have sprung for the real deal.

Personally, I like the car with, and without the wing... I think it would be nice to have a spare trunklid to put on and take off depending upon what kind of mood you're in.

Avro, you're right, if you cannot tell the different between a base and an SS, SS/SC then you don't know your model of car well enough... I think though that if you're going to go to all the trouble to add SS/SC trim to your base model, you should've bought an SS/SC in the first place... (like some people who want to add SS badges to their Base Cobalt...)

Not to start another "My SS is better than your base model" war, my opinion is what it is so if anyone disagrees take it for what it is, just an opinion.
