Any tips for cleaning supercharger

i noticed today that my s/c has like black specs almost the size of dust all over it. any tips for cleaning it?

sorry if this is the wrong section for this but i didnt really think it was technical enough for the lsj section

Used steel wool and WD40, and some eagle one polished aluminum wheel cleaner.

also to add to this, clean it while the supercharger is warm, it makes it easier...
