Anybody with Gen 4's, how many have you installed your HID Kit's on? How easy was it?

I'm still waiting on my Gen 4's to be shipped out. Just seeing what kind of steps you guys took to install your HID's and how easy it was. I'm planning to also get DDMTuning 6000k slim ballasts H7's for the low beams and the H11 for fog lights.

I've installed 2 sets of the 4th gens on my car....not with HIDs though...but with H7s it's really easy...in fact I think 3bspec or someone has a how to on their website for it...I'll try to look it up real quick.

Its easy, just plug and play pretty much with DDM. I got the relay so I had to run a wire to the battery but not much more difficult. I actually had a problem with my driver side 4th Gen so i'm waiting a replacement right now.

site kind of slow. Do I need the wiring harness or can I do low beams and still use the high beams on the Gen4's?

oh... I get it that looks easy to do. Had to use Google Chrome because IE8 and Firefox can't browse the pic any faster.

Yes your high beams will still be functional as they are a seperate light. And I would recommnd a relay harness just for safety precausions...but It's not a necessary thing.

I looked up DDM Tuning website the harness is mainly for 55w HID Kits, not the 35 watts I'm about to order. Was going to get the slim ballasts for the low beams and the Apexcone's for the foglights.

With the gen 4's you don't necessarily need the relay harness, mine work quite fine so far and install is super easy, just have to cut a bit of the rubber protector to feed the HID wires in and you're done.
