Anyone painted 2007 interior pieces?

with the grey part on the steering wheel? if so, how did you remove it? did it just pop off? thanks!

you mean the center piece with the chevy logo on it?

i want to switch that with the corvette racing flag logo lol

i'd love to switch the two out also.. lol

but no, i mean the two grey pieces on the side (with volume controls or cruise control on it)

oh i see! good idea. i kind of like mine b/c i have the metal/grey interior, but if you had another color it might look out of place. i would imagine they just snap out somehow, but not sure

i was wondering the exact same thing. i've been thinking about painting those pieces for a few days now but wasn't sure if those pieces came off or not. i thought about painting them black to match the trim i did a few weeks ago. i think it would look good.

^^ That would look better. it seems like they have a little give in them as if they're going to pop off, but i dont want to pull too hard on them because they're right there with the air bag and all.. plus, they have wires on the back of them.. hmm, don't look like anyone has ever done it.

Someone actually posted some pics of a friends balt who had done that but his friend wasnt a member. He had swapped steering wheels with the 07 HHR i'll see if i can find the link.

i was wondering the same and i cant get it to go
someone told i have to stick something in the holes on the bottom in the back, but nothing happened, so i have been stuck since.

it sucks that the wheel would have to be taken apart to paint those. i don't have the know how to do something like that. oh well, life goes on

You dont have to take apart your whole steering wheel. And you dont even have to disconnect your airbags. There's enough wiring on the airbags to get to the single screw that holds each side on. I'll go outside and take a few quick shots of taking off those switches. It only takes about 2 minutes to take out both sides.
