B and M Short throw installed
So I just got this installed, shifting is much nicer now and it looks way better.
Before you see the pics I have a question, the reason that most afteremarket knobs won't fit on the cobalt is the reverse liftt, however the B and M has a reverse lift on but the lift is very minor, I'd say quarter inch and unlike the stock one the lift piece does not go into the bottom of the knob, it hits a plate under it. So could I put any shift knob on that I wanted to now?

Hey man....how long did it take you to install? Did you follow the How-To on here?
You get the shifter from a vendor on here?

The Pedals I got from a little shop that deals mainly with imports around here, i can't tell you the name of them cuz none of the writting on the package was in english if you know what i mean
I did not install the shifter myself, I had a local shop, the same place that I bought it from install it. These guys are a very high end shop that deal with Turbo installs or whole engine swaps. The owner of the shop is actually the guy who worked on the car and he said it was a pain in the ass, there are a ton of little parts that have to be taken off and I guess he said the B&M came assembled, but needed to be taken apart to fit in, all and all every shop I've taken the car to hates working on Cobalts.
FYI- The part # though B&M is 45187, heres a link to the page. You can order right from them, and it comes with detailed (pics included) install instructions, but if your not mech. inclined I don't suggest doing it yourself.
