...i have a black ss/sc, and im thinking of painting my calipers black with little red ss logos on them...do you guys think that would look decent? ...im also thinking of painting my valve cover dark red and doing a black and brushed aluminum look on the rest of it.

 

ya, people have done that with the ss emblem on the calipers. it looks cool. alot of ss/sc guys dont like to flaunt their colors though. they like to discrete look. but i'm gonna be doin my valve cover, and power terminal covers blue. goodluck with urs. post up pics!

 

It's kind of hard to do accents with a black car.... although red does seem to fit it best.

I made the decision to polish everything (yes even the calipers), cause I wasn't comfortable with the thought of adding in another color.

 

yeah, thats why i was going with a black color matched to the car...i dont want it to stand out a whole lot, but i think a little red ss would be just enough

 

Like these guys have said, it's been done before and can look good. Just make sure you take your time and do things consistantly. If there are solid transitions and everything looks professional, it'll look great...

 

These should help. I think I'm going to paint mine silver with red cobalt or gold with red or blue cobalt

 

sweet, i was gonna have a buddy of mine cut out some vinyl decals for me, but that would take too long, i will just order those
