Does anyone know if there is a black grill out there other than the plastic ones?? Id like something like the one from cobalt addiction the upper and lower but cant find anything like that, wasnt sure if someone knew.

Not that I am aware of, however why not buy the grill and paint it?? or if you wanted to get real bad assed, buy it and have it powder coated!!!!! ur right, it would look friggin HOT tho

 

How would I get it powdercoated? Why do you think im asking i know it would look hot.

 

I'm waiting on a black billet grille for my car... the chrome just ain't my thing... they'll come out eventually... give it time.

So if i did get the upper and lower grill from cobalt addiction how would i powdercoat it or paint it black??

 

Paint it with a can of spray paint.. powder coat it by taking it to a professional powder coater

 

Would it look good to just paint it black, and on that grill can you just paint it or will it look like ****? Its the cw one from cobalt addiction the top and bottom.

 

The grills from Cobalt Addiction are made by Carriage Works. Carriage Works makes them all black and send them out to be polished and buffed (something like that)

Basically, they are all black and the front is just polished up and looks billet. They are available from Carriage Works without having the front polished. I'm not sure if Cobalt Addiction can order them without the polished front, but I bet they can. They have a great focus on customer satisfaction so I'm sure they could work something out for you. I plan on doing the same thing; however, I've just been back and forth about having to permanently modify my front bumper to install the grills.

I probably will be waiting until the spring to see if someone else with a black cobalt does it first so I can see how it looks. I will almost gaurantee that it looks **** though. Shoot an e-mail to CA and see what they can do. I'm sure you'll be happy with the results.
