black racing stripes and rims
To the OP, it looks really good, nice job! Here's mine from a while ago:

Houseofgrafx.com sells a kit for around $80 already precut. You may have to give them a few more measurements because of yours being 4drs but they are easy to contact and easy to work with

Dammit, I want stripes. I love stripes on cars. (the style you guys have) Thing is I ain't paying $300 for a few thin pieces of plastic from GM. WTF! Anyone know where I can find these stripes cheaper? And I want the ones made for the cobalt like you guys have. Besides I don't have much of a choice. The guy I'm getting a wing from on here has them.

Looks good all done. Black pinstripes along the edges would really bring them out though. My friend has the same kit same colors car and all and did that, looks great. Love the wheels too, most likely doing that this winter with my stockers.
i have a red cobalt ss with 80% window tint and stock rims. i ordered rally racing stripes and i cant decide on what color to get. either black silver or white? and should i paint my rims black?
If you wanna see a red one with white stripes mines on i think the second page. I love the red, white and black mix on cars, I'd do the stockers black too.
thanks guys im thinkin black because it will go with all the other black and red stuff like interior. and how much would it cost to paint the rims black. like how much for all the cans of rim paint? and how many do you need?
i used i can primer, 3 cans gloss black(to be safe, two might do but this is just incase), and two cans clear coat. the key to the rims is the prepping and the clear coat. sand ur rims really evenly and make sure u tape your tires up good. the real key is just be patient man. make a day out of it and just relax never rush the coats and you will have great results.FYI im doing the same black and red theme throughout and its badass lookin.
i used one can primer and probably around 30 bucks plus tape and sanding stuff. go to auto zone and get a praint prepping sanding block. the grit is very low and you just scuff up the rim so the paint adheres better. just make sure u sand evenly for best results though.
30 for all the paint? or per can?
and how do you get the center piece to come out... mine wont. btw your rims look pretty good. look just like the powder coated ones and they look like you bought them that way. nice job. oh and my stripes come with pin stipe, should i put that on too?
oh and i dont know if you would know or not. but do you know how to remove vinal from cars? because i got stripes on the side of my car and i want to remove them because im putting rally stripes on.

30 for all the paint. i just used duplicolor and it worked great and thks. just focus on your stripes first because if you have never done it before, like i didnt at the time, it takes alot of patience so just be relaxed or you will screw the vinyl up, also like i did but i was able to salvage it with leftover vinyl. just put on the pinstripe when u get satisfied with ur stripes. and as far as removing vinyl you can buy removing liquids specifically for vinyl and they should just come right off.
oh and to get off the center piece i just slipped in a pocketknife and just popped it out. it can be a PITA but there not that bad.

i used the truck van and suv stuff. as far as coats i did 2 primer, 4-5 gloss, then 5 clear coat. there is a couple how to threads on the site about painting your rims if you want pictures and stuff.
