would the engine enamel be better since it with stands 500 degrees and says it wont ever crack or chip off

 

yea as far as the temp and strength but i dont know how well it will turn out. u could always try it out and see.

 

does 2-3 cans really cover 4-5 coats?

 

yea ur doing medium coats and thats y i said three because i used two and was running out at the end or else i would hve done more coats.
