i want to make my tail lights black but not sure of the prosess could someone please send me a list on what to do and what to buy anything would be helpful

I know that i need to sand but not sure which to use

I never sanded my second pair of lights and they never ran.

Just buy VHT and krylon clear coat.

Then clean your lights, spray VHT till desired darkness and then dry.

Then apply several layers of clear coat and let it cure overnight.

So do you have to remove the tail lights some how? Or just mask around them?>

 

remove them. open your trunk, look at the trunk carpet. Should be a black plastic cap that unscrews on the left behind your tail-light. Unscrew. PUll back carpet. remove 2 nuts. take light out.
