how did you do that? paint black, wait for it to dry, then red and blot it? Did you get that idea from that valve cover I posted? cause if so, you nailed it

i just have skills. lol.

i didnt get the idea directly from the valve cover, but it could have caused me to come up with this. and yea, painted it black, then kinda did my thing with the red and blotted it.

I used to do this on rc bodies. Black base coat, wait for it to fully dry, spray red then use crumpled up saran wrap to either blot or coat then peel off right away.

or you can spray water droplets over hte black base and spray fine mist of red over it.. when the water evaporates it will give it a wet look..
