Loooks really good, I love how you kept the chrome border around the emblem, it looks a hell of a lot better then the people who just paint the whole thing.

yea it ate up some time masking off the chrome but i like doing stuff like that, i love anything to do with my car.

you dont have to mask off the chrome. if you're careful and patient, you can pry the gold part off of the chrome part. its just a weak glue. then you paint the gold part, and re-glue it to the chrome part. thats how i did mine.

nice, I was planning on doing that but didn't know if the black with chrome would be too much black, but now I think it will match my painted headlights nicely.

yea i broke it the first time i tried so i had to order a new one... lol i had had a little to drink... so i got no excuses. i just decided to take the time and mask it off

When I painted mine I used paint made for lexan. I sprayed the entire thing, and when the paint dried, you could scrape it off the chrome part with your fingernail. It has never chipped or peeled off the center part.

that sounds cool... i just scuffed it, primered, spray painted and clearcoated... i hope it holds up anyways XM 42 kicks ass
