i was always under the impression that liner was sound related only.

got any info on that i can read? learn somethin new every day hehe.
might invest in that nice SS one GM has if you can convince me

The cover is not a flame retartant, trust me accidently caught one on fire with a drop light. oops, it does help with the heat so it does not destroy your paint on a stock hood, an yeah mostly there for noise suppresion for those that don't like to hear their car engine.

Guy at the stealership told me that that was there for sound reduction only. Car catches fire? Forget that liner, it's not going to do anything. It's flammable.

I didn't put cf on my hood. It is a cf hood and it was a good $700.
