i dont think lambo doors would fit on a cobalt...

now there are vertical door kits available, i believe that cobaltaddiction sells them

http://www.cobalt-addiction.com/exterior.htm

even bolt on "direct fit" kits may need a little modification to work, i would PM donna(badg1rl) or playswitcars & ask them about there exp.

There is always a wise ass that has to correct someone saying "Lambo doors won't fit on a cobalt"

We all know he means vertical doors. They look really good. Check out "Playswitcars" he is one of many that has them. Donna from Cobalt Addiction also has them on her car that used to be a cobalt... I am now convinced it is a transformer war machine...

You did... and if I was in a wise ass mood this morning I would probably stab at the "lambo doors dont fit"

It's cool reign. you did answer. BTW Playswitcars got his kit from Vertical Doors Inc if you wanna look them up.

I know this doesn't help anyone in here now, but if there is anyone in CNY I know people who make custom kits very well. The verticle doors look amazing on Cobalts. Not my thing, but you can't deny how sexy they are on Donna and playswitcars' cars...

I hear ya, but I would never park my car that close to another car. I've never been worried about being able to get out, it's the ******* next to me w/ a beat up **** box that I'm always worried about. It doesn't matter how far out in the middle of nowhere you park, they find you and park inches from your car just to **** you off...

That's why I find corner spots w/ double lines and park in the double lines so even if they do park next to me, they're far enough away to open their door almost completely if they parked in their spot...

I knew a yellow SS had them as well. I just couldn't think of the name. all i could remember was yellow and "he modified the way his trunk opens"

Your car looks great BTW!

how extensive was this "inner fender cutting" that they claim you have to do?

to me they are a complete waste of money. However if you do get them please have them professionally installed or you will really regret it. Why not take that 2k and put it into something much cooler for your ride ?

^^ awesome and you are on 20's and not touching so no worries for anyone else. How was the install? tough?

How do you like teh doors? nice controlled drop to close and push up easy? Do you have the option to still open them normally?

no touchin anywhere with the wheels.....i didnt install them my self but i beleive the hardest part it jus extending all the wires...i mean it all bolt on....and i love them and yes they open up regularly enough for u to get out without throwin em up....the door is kinda heavy to lift but not to bad but the gas shocks r strong enough to stay up and even drive with them up but only at low speeds..and they do close controlled jus kinda guide it down with ur hand...

I would say be careful of cheap. Keep in mind you are talking your doors here. you don't want the hinge or bracket snapping and your door coming off and crashing to the ground.

As for install. I would imagine any good body shop would be able to do it.
