i see this all the dang time!!! they think they can treat it just like normal paint! hence why when i just bought my car back i had to do paint correction on my cf wingblade because the previous owner didnt take care of it lol.

i would love some CF interior parts!!

All my cf was given to my automotive budy who professionally cleared them. Most idiots say its good out of the box because it has a "gel coat". Then they cant figure out why its cloudy in a few years.

It has a lot to do with the quality of the resins and their ability to withstand ozone and sun fade. Could you imaging what owners of 2017 CTS V Carbon Black edition Cadillac's or any of the other high end OEM cars would do if their Carbon Fiber components looked like crap in a couple years. Most of what we even have access to doesn't even fit for crap.

I like carbon fiber like I said before, but im old and im not driving a Zonda. The weight savings is minimal for these cars.

Yep, not many SS's left and most of the new owners are cheap. Like I've said, if I didn't have a black car I would be interested. Would love a vented hood. Did you all see the mustang type hood on fb that the guy made himself. Everyone loved it and wanted one.

After seeing the 10K mile SS post, there are still some great low mileage cars out there... Just a new phase of owners. I would be tooling up for some Civic Type R parts.

A Tjin trunk would be sweet on a sedan.

Like I said earlier, I'd love a carbon Tjin trunk, I'd even love to add a vented hood to that mix, but I'd be the type to paint it to match the car, so mas dinero on top of the parts. I have plans for a few other things first though before I go after looks(like a built trans and cams/springs/E-tune to see what this Z54 can really do).

Can CF be painted so that it has a finish as good as the stock paint job? I'd like a stock hood and trunk in CF but I'd want it to match the stock paint job.

Painting Carbon Fiber can be done, but to achieve the desired look that you are looking for is a costly, time consuming, labor intensive task that is highly recommend to be approached by a professional.
