CF SPOILER question

I have a cf spoiler and the clear coat is started to fade and wear. I was wondering what type of clear coat to use. Is there any special type. Im prob going to wet sand it down and re spray it. Just curious on what type of clear coat you guys would recomend.

Impulseballer you might be able to give me some advice on this 1.

I dont think it had clear coat on it to start with. I believe most carbon fiber parts ship with a gel coat, which does eventually wear away, as it is not near as durable as clear coat.

I've got the same question as the op. Before I go CF, I want to know how to take care of it later on. Anybody know where to get the clear coat for these things?

You can use regular clearcoat. Or apply a thin layer of epoxy over it be sand it to a smooth finish. Apply clearcoat. Sand that down with 2000 grit sand paper and polish

I had the same problem, mines got a couple scratches in it. If you know anyone at a body/paint shop, just have him throw it in with a car already getting clear coated.
